From a gardening club to a cheeky campaign twist on public health awareness.
This weeks most memorable.
01 — OOH
I spotted this in the Northern Quarter. Eye-popping retro-inspired murals that capture CocaCola ‘s Cherry Float product’s nostalgic essence for its launch.
02 — Book
Fred Seibert was the first creative director of MTV. He's self-published the whole story of the MTV logo. From its debut on August 1st, 1981, through to 2010. Hundreds of versions of a single mark. Each one a time capsule of wherever culture was that week. The best bit? You can preview the whole thing on Scribd.
03 — Event
Siop Shop in Manchester is running a gardening club with Plant Manchester on the first Saturday of April, May, June, July, August and September. Coffee, Dohnuts and Gardening. Expect wholesome scenes.
04 — Design
I love crisps so this was perfect for me. Weirdo is a Spanish snack brand by Estudio Maba where every flavour gets its own hand-drawn character. It's a bag of crisps with a better brand identity than most actual brands.
05 — OOH
The campaign is called Beat Cancer Off. An animated music video, a tracking app, 21 limited-edition posters and a 21-sock pack. Hard to ignore. Not sure I need to say much more…
