From the impossible to open lollipop, to the rapid decline in quality of online platforms and services
This weeks most memorable
01 — Brand
After years of complaints about a stubborn lollipop wrapper, Chupa Chups responded by creating the hardest wrapper they've ever made. The final boss of lollipops. Impossible to open. Impossible to ignore.
02 — Campaign
Have you heard of ‘enshittification' yet?
The Norwegian Consumer Council have released a campaign highlighting this concept, a term coined to describe the rapid decline in quality of digital platforms and services.
The campaign features a video which shows a professional who takes pride in destroying user experience to maximise their shareholder profit. Basically taking useful, popular and smooth digitial services, tuning them into ‘a pile of sh*t’ by cramming them with ads, forced subscriptions and frustrating AI bots.
Three minutes that explain everything wrong with the internet. This is enshittification.
03 — Technology
EntoPedia is turning everyday encounters with insects into digital moments of observation, learning, and shared knowledge without the physical capture of the species.
It’s worn as a compact magnetic pendant, with a simple two-finger press that captures image and enters recording mode. A tactile interaction designed to reduce friction between noticing and documenting, supporting quick, respectful observation in real-world conditions where encounters are brief and unpredictable. A 2026 French Design Awards Gold winner, recognised for it’s approach to ecological education.
04 — Creative
Fries Vansevenant. Graphic design driven by experimentation and rediscovery, turning familiar faces into striking modern icons. The kind of work that makes you question every safe choice you've ever made.
05 — Book
The role of the designer is changing. Instead of crafting every detail, you design the system in which design emerges. Twenty years of teaching. One book. Play the System.
