International Day of Happiness 2024!

March 20th marked the International Day of Happiness, a global celebration recognising the importance of happiness and wellbeing. This year, at The Behaviours Agency, we decided to honour this special day.  Instead of sticking to our usual workday routine, we were all given the day off.

We planned to have the day filled with activities that bring us happiness! Some opted for a leisurely hike, a few opted for a relaxing spa day and for some, happiness came from being with loved ones!

With that in mind, we want to share what some of us did, and our top tips for creating happiness in our day-to-day lives:

Janey took a (slightly wet!) hike.

Phil took a trip to the pub with his friends for a merry game of darts.

James got to spend the day watching his son play football – an activity usually missed due to work!

Amy took herself on a solo spa day and read a book.

Nat partook in her favourite activity, rock climbing!

Kate made the most of her day with her children and sweet treats!

Our top tips for creating happiness in our day-to-day lives:

Janey: Pursue activities that get you outside and moving! Try and start the day with exercise and try to get outside at lunch for a walk.

Nat: Focus on what you find fulfilling and prioritise your life balance.

Kate: Life is made up of choices. You can’t stop the bad, but you can control how you respond to it.

Phil: Create space and moments in your everyday life to laugh. It’s infectious and uplifting when you see others laughing too.

Harry: Find something to do and just f*****g do it. Challenging yourself to learn and problem solve always pays off… even if things don’t go how you think they will.

Dorina: Try and laugh every day with someone you care about. Make sure you say something nice about yourself.

Amy: Stressing about things twice, means you will go through it twice. Try and trust the process and don’t let what you can’t change affect you!

James: Being truly present for those that look up to you means more to them than you can imagine. It’s easy to forget this in the busy-ness of everyday life.

As a company, we are committed to not only creating a happy workplace but also making a positive impact on the world around us.
