I'm proud to announce our Employee of the Year 2019/20.

This is one of my favourite days in the agency calendar.

It’s a hotly fought contest not least because of the size of the prize, more later, but because it’s the culmination of months of consistently living our values with the ultimate accolade of being recognised for that amazing achievement.

EMPLOYEE DEFINED VALUES

Our EOTY scheme works because it was designed by our employees for our employees. Every month we vote for our employee of the month based on them demonstrating two of our values of; Client Happiness, Team Happiness, Creativity, Curiosity and Get Results.

The monthly winner gets their name in lights, a little gift and then the votes get totted up with the person who gains the most over the year obviously becoming the winner of EOTY.

Janey

AND THE WINNER IS…

Janey Leonard-Myers – Senior Account Manager

Under slightly different circumstances this year we announced the winner in our monthly Zoom Sunshine meeting – slightly unusual and definitely missed the ability to give hugs, flowers and really see the surprise on Janey’s face. But hey ho.

Janey won for her month in month out demonstration of our key values of client happiness and team happiness particularly her work with Sharps Bedrooms and her legendary Bake off competition.

NOT FORGETTING THE EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR RUNNERS UP

Once again Matt Taylor our Junior Integrated Designer was second for his curiosity and team happiness bias and James Kay a member of our senior leadership team and previous winner, for his client happiness and getting results efforts. Congratulations guys. Matt; maybe next year?!

PUTTING WELL-BEING AT THE HEART OF THE REWARD

In previous years the winner’s received an all-expenses paid trip to New York but we wanted to place even greater emphasis on well-being and so this year the prize is the same monetary value but can now be spent in a way that contributes to the winner’s well-being. So that might be a holiday with the family, learning a new sport or skill, or even purchasing a bike. As long as the winner can demonstrate well-being, we don’t mind!

Congratulations Janey – as your colleagues so succinctly put it – you’re a superstar!
