The dilemma of the acceptance speech. We’ve just been voted Top 3 in The Drum’s Design 100 – agency client review. Which essentially means that our clients ranked us bonkers highly for branding, client service, design, creativity, strategic thinking and value for money.

But who to thank first? Our wonderful clients for voting for us or my wonderful team for delivering on my dream? Hopefully in one sentence I snuck them both in!?

As a business we believe entirely in client delight, it’s at the heart of what we do and what keeps me awake at night the most. ‘It’s fine’ isn’t good enough at The Behaviours Agency, everything we do has to make us smile, take our breath away, be pushed that little bit further to check that the strategy, design, idea or service will genuinely make a difference to a client’s life or brand.

As we’ve grown as an agency, we’ll triple in size this year, I worry that we will drop our standards, but tonight maybe I can sleep a little more soundly knowing that we can be more than just me, Dorina (my business partner & creative god), & the cat and still deliver the most amazing work for some very interesting clients.

So back to the thank you’s – genuinely to our clients for putting up with being challenged and pushed! And to my team, for you guessed it, being challenged and pushed.

And one last thank you – To my lovely husband and daughter who have to put up with me being a generally useless wife and mother, or more accurately challenging and pushy.

A very grateful Sue Benson.

PS. Does this mean we can charge more?
